Education

I have been a practicing dentist since 2004, but my journey toward becoming a dentist began years before:

  • 1998 - graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree
  • 2002 - summer externship in Atoyac, Mexico
  • 2003 - completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry
  • 2004 - completed a general practice residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY (New York)
  • 2013 - Graduate of Kois Center

Continuing Education

Things are always changing in the dental field! As technology advances and more people realize the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene, it’s important to stay current on the latest trends in order to continue offering my patients the best care possible. To keep up on all the advancements in dentistry, I stay involved in continuing education, and have completed over 1000 hours of continuing education since completing my dental school education.

Dental Associations and Community Memberships

I am a member of several industry associations and community organizations, including:

  • American Dental Association (ADA)
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity Graduate Chapters of New York and Baton Rouge
  • Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association
  • Continuing Dental Education of Baton Rouge

In addition, I have been published in The Journal of the American Dental Association (November 2003); I was named the Woodhull Hospital Chief Resident in 2004, and awarded the American Student Dental Association Leadership Award in 2003. In 1998, I was accepted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society.
